Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) program
Provides:
50 Hours of Training (10 in Advocacy, 16 in Ethics, 10 in Mentoring/Education, 10 in Recovery/Wellness, 4 in Harm Reduction)
500 Hours in the role of a Peer (either as an Intern or a paid employee)
30 Hours of Supervision by a Registered Peer Supervisor
Assistance with completion of the Application for the CPRS exam
Resume and job search assistance
Requirements:
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
2 years in Recovery
Certified Community Health Worker (CHW) program
Provides:
All 101 Hours of training Curriculum approved for the CHW Credential
40 hours required internship in the role of a CHW. Students will be appropriately placed in accordance with goals.
Supervision in the role of a CHW under a Registered Peer Supervisor at VoH.
